Royal Cariot Museum: Kareta Garudo Yeksa Coated With 20 Kg of Gold
Made in the Netherlands in 1861 at the time of Sri Sultan HB VI. Kareta is used for the coronation of Sultan, pulled by 8 horses with has the same color especial male. Cleaning ceremony conducted every year once every month of Suro.
Referred to as Kareta Kencana (Royal Cariot). Everything in this pristine chariot including symbol / emblem of his Garuda bird, made of 18 carat gold weighing 20kg. It is said that about 6-7gram gold will be lost every time scrubbed / cleaned.
