Kraton Yogyakarta Batik Museum

Kraton Yogyakarta Batik Museum was inaugurated by Sri Sultan HB X on October 31, 2005. The museum occupies one of the buildings in the compound Kraton Yogyakarta. In the museum collections are stored various batik cloth batik to equipment from the HB HB VIII to X. It also saved some of the collection presents a number of employers in Jogja batik and other areas.

The Sultan’s Palace

The Sultan’s Palace, or Kraton, with its grand and elegant Javanese architecture, lay in the center of the city. It was founded by Pangeran Mangkubumi in 1775, whose the son, the prince, was then called Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono I. The architect of this two-century-old palace complex is the late , the founder of the Ngayogyakarta Hadiningrat kingdom.

Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono IX Museum

Born in Yogyakarta with a GRM Dorojatun on April 12, 1912, Hamengkubuwono IX is the son of Sultan Hamengkubuwono VIII and Queen Raden Maya Kustilah. At the age of 4 years Hamengkubuwono IX lived apart from his family. He was educated in HIS school in Yogyakarta, MULO schoolin Semarang, and AMS school in Bandung, he called Sultan Henkie. In the 1930s he enrolled at Rijkuniversiteit (now the University of Groningen).

Royal Carriage Museum
